It sounds to me that if you have a viral load of 65 that is actually near undetectable and would not worry about it . It probably will be back to normal next time you have your blood work drawn or done .

65 really is no big deal. (just a few yrs ago <500 was UD. then the tests got better and UD was <100. Now there are some tests that go as low as 2 to declare UD). 65 is certainly NOT a number where you should worry about treatment change. Don't sweat treatment failure until you have multiple blips from the 100s to 1000s

the hiv meds do not totally remove HIV. HIV hides out in our brains, lymph nodes, and other places. Periodically, these little pools of HIV (reservoirs) spill out some HIV. Luckily the meds we take work as both PrEP and PEP and destroy the HIV before it gains a foothold. when you were tested, one of those reservoirs could have spilled over a little. A VL test later than day or the next day would have probably shown you as still UD.

HIV-related testing numbers, viral load and cd4 count, have to always be considered as part of a trend based on at least 3 results over several weeks (or months) worth of time. Obsessing about tiny changes is just silly as our bodies are in flux all day long. Testing at different times of the even same day would yield varying results. (ah! those evil reservoirs and our immune systems at work all the time LOL)

Hang in there, keep on taking your meds. I'm betting your next test will be back to UD

You need to keep taking your medication as directed by your doctor and not make any changes until you consult with him or her  .

just like jeff said, stick to your meds. ;)

I'm betting you're back to <20 next time; but whether you are or you aren't, your doctor will be the person to talk to about what to do. ;)
