I received an e-mail with this AMFAR announcement referenced in it and wondered if forum members would be interested in seeing what an RFP (request for proposal) looks like and the types of information required in order to be considered for a grant of, in this case, $300,000.

This one in particular caught my eye because of the solicitation for collaborations to explore the obstacles to, and strategies for, eradicating HIV infection. And, the specific areas of interest include:
- Sterilizing cure: i.e., eliminating HIV from the body of an infected person
- Functional cure: i.e., achieving a state of persistent HIV infection without the need for medical treatment
- Characterizing viral reservoirs

So, I thought if you've never seen an RFP, no matter where you are in the world, this might be of interest.
