« on: March 03, 2007, 10:50:22 AM »
Here is a list of what I normally eat and how I prepare it.
Share some of your daily recipes!

- Sushi Rice -

steams nicely in rice cooker good with stirfrys or anything non saucy. much healthier than most breads.

- Roti and Tortilla Wraps -

great with some lettuce, small amounts of fine chopped onion, tomato, soya, nuts and some sweet chilli sauce.
also good with mayo, crab sticks, lettuce and dill (herb)
lots of nutrients here!

- Pasta -

make with tomato pasta sauce using 5 tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, italian herb and cheese. covers a lot of vitamins and minerals

- Soya Products -

find a good brand. nice chopped into stirfry, heated in microwave yummy. use in pastas too. goes well with rices and good replacement for beef. very high in minerals

- Eggs -

good for anything, stirfry, breakfast on toast with a fried tomato and a bit of garlic, good with cheese, when combined with spinach can cover a LOT of nutrients. mainly for immune system and absorbtion

- Spinach -

try baking a spinach and feta muffin. yummy, spinach is very high in minerals and vitamins. mainly B complex I believe. this is the best veg for hiver's

- Yoghurt -

great with cereal, on its own, plain yoghurt with soy and sugar or make tsatziki with cucumbers.
also good to chop up some fruit with. very nice in a bowl.
good for many reasons, nice amount of good cultures and wonderful for when you're feeling lazy.
just don't get one that's been overprocessed with no fat, they remove all the good stuff sometimes too!

- Tomato -

my favourite fruit! very good with vitamin C and many other properties as well as an agent that lets you know when your body has eaten enough. wonderful chopped. fry with garlic and butter with some italian herbs.
grate it for a different texture! serve with raw fine fresh chopped garlic.

- Chicken -

my favourite way to make is on a chicken burger. flash fry the chicken pattie with some sesame oil
add to a roll, tomato, lettuce, mayo/yoghurt, cheese, dill, hash brown - yummy!
covers about everything when eaten in combination

- Crumpets -

very good source of energy and fiber. premixes are nice and easy and come in lot of variations, can be kept for 3 days after mixing. great for breakfast with maybe some honey/sugar and butter!

- Cucumber -

just grate this over anything, rediscover cucumber!
good grated with fresh greek yoghurt and a little lemon juice... tsatziki
good for hydration and skin.

- Avocado/Guacamole -

nice on seed bread, good for skin, great with micronutrients like Omega Fatty Acids

Fruits I like

Golden Delicious Apples
Kiwi Fruit
