Things Change (and No, I'm not leaving!)
« on: February 17, 2007, 08:54:35 PM »
Things change.

As of today, I no longer have a romantic interest.  And as of today, I hate Wal-Mart.  Who knows, next week I might like CSI:NY.

Three weeks ago, I was PMing Andy about my visit to New York, and how I didnít think I could financially swing AMG í07.  A week prior to that, I told Jan there was a better chance of me meeting her in Las Vegas, as Russian River seemed too complicated (and expensive.)

On Monday, something my boss and I have been working on for over a year became a reality.  I got a promotion!

I wonít go into a lot of boring detail or history, but hereís what the bottom line be:

Iíll be in San Francisco this September for AMG í07!

Step 1:  I socked away some extra $$ with my tax withholdings last year, so Iíll purchase my plane ticket this week when I get my refund.

Step 2: I start saving extra $$ for the rest of the trip.

As always, I love you all very much! (well, most of you, anyway.)

Edited to say AMG '07, not '08!

Hey Creighton

This is really good news.  I've heard others express reservations about going due to money etc but I keep telling them never say no.  There is a lot of time between now and then.  As you said, things change.

So everyone, keep an open mind about September in San Francisco.

And Creighton, I owe you dinner.

the only constant is change

aside from that, too much money has always been the unattainable dream for me:

Don't take the good things that you have accomplished for granted. You deserve wonderful things if you worked hard for it.
