Andy mentioned in another thread that you kept vigil with a friend who passed last evening. Please know that my heart is with you. My deepest condolences to you.
You were a brave friend, and a welcome warm hand to your friend in his last moments.

Thanks guys.  It's pretty amazing... as surreal as the passing of a friend is, it certainly brings a great deal of clarity regarding how incredible and special life really is.

My deepest condolences go out to you and your friends family. Having lost two friends in 2006,( both HIV infected), I know how difficult this is. And as you have stated," it certainly brings a great deal of clarity regarding how incredible and special life really is." Everyone of us, need to respect ourselves and each other, because, you just never know, when one's time will come. It comes sooner then many think.

Current Meds ; Viramune, Epzicom, 20mg of Atorvastatin, 25 mg of Hydrochlorothiazide.
Amlodipine Besolate 5mg-- Updated 9/24/2017

Diagnosed positive in 1985,.. In October of 2003, My t-cell count was 16, Viral load was over 500,000, Percentage at that time was 5%. I started on  HAART on October 24th, 2003.

 As of 9/18/2017,  Viral load remains <40
CD 4 @358 /  CD4 % @ 13

 65 years young.

I lost my dad last month.  I feel the loss.  I will for a while as I know you will.  A stray thought.  A smell.  A picture will trip those memories. 

I also know that we will keep those we love close to us.  As time passes the memories accompany smiles of remembrance.  I'm sorry for your loss, but I know the best and most important essence of your friendship will be with you forever.

Started HAART: Combivir+Efavirenz Aug 26 7:38 pm
Feb 08 2007 - Gradually stopping HAART cause of Myalgia. Protecting Efavirenz. Stopped Efavirenz, ahead with Combivir....
February 17 Combivir stopped.
April 3 -07 : Started ddi+3tc+efavirenz...

I know your pain. I too lost a friend this weekend due to a car accident.

It is indeed a very special experience to help a dear friend pass to the other side.
I bet you can still feel his energy around you all the time.

I personally think it is a privilege to love such an experience, of course there is the pain of loss as well. But the spiritual value is enormous.

Still, I hope your heart will recover and you will embrace life even more.
