Do I have HIV or am I at risk???
« on: September 18, 2020, 09:13:54 am »
Hi guys, so after a few months of trying to live my life I finally found peace with myself and wanted to move on from whatever I have done in the past so I would like to say the exposures I've had. Should I be worried??

November 29 2019
- Had unprotected sex with a woman - status of the woman is unknown

January 29 2020
- Had protected sex with a sex worker and condom seemed intact and I didn't check it- status of the women is known

After 72 days, 10 weeks
April 10 2020
- I took a 4th generation CMIA Ag/Ab test and it came out negative

August 29th 2020
- I went and saw a sex worker and we both were laying on the bed naked and I dried humped her and we didn't have any penetration just humped her back and stomach with oil and I fingered her for a minute??? - status of the women unknown

I haven't had any exposure since then and I have already vowed that I am not gonna carry out any sexual activities with people and only the one which I will find.

So I have questions,
1) Is my test results conclusive??
2) If a condom has microsomal tears before I used and I still used it, will it have like a huge hole after I ejaculate or will it not??
3) Does my last encounter have a risk??

Thank you guys, have a nice day

Hiya,

Fingering, dry humping, rubbing is not how HIV is transmitted and no HIV risk.

The condomless intercourse on the 19th of Nov 2019 was an HIV risk ,however, the HIV test on the April 10th was conclusively negative over this incident.

As for the Jan encounter, HIV can't transmit through an intact latex or polyurethane condom. If a condom fails during the act of intercourse it's obvious to the insertive partner. There is no reason to be stressing or testing outside of standard routine as long as this obvious issue did not happen.

Relax, move on with your life, start using condoms for intercourse, no exceptions.

Here's what you need to know to avoid HIV infection:
Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, every time, no exceptions. Consider starting PrEP as an additional layer of HIV protection going forward

Keep in mind that some sexual practices which may be described as Ďsafeí in terms of HIV transmission might still pose a risk for transmission of other STI's, so please do get fully tested regularly and at least yearly for all STI's including but not limited to HIV and test more frequently if unprotected intercourse occurs

Also, note that it is possible to have an STI and show no signs or symptoms and the only way of knowing is by testing.

Kind regards

Jim

Hey Jim,
Hope you have been great,

Sorry but lately I have spiraled down a scare.

Let's just say the condom did break when I was with the sex worker and I took a 4th generation venous blood drawn CMIA Ag/Ab test exactly 11 weeks after the exposure and it was non-reactive, should I be worried because it wasn't 12/13 weeks?? Because yes it has been 10 months since the incident but it has been eating me up. I just want to know if I will be fine. Because I haven't been sleeping well and I haven't been living well due to the anxiety.

Hope you have a great day.

Hiya,

I'm not going to entertain imaginary "what if's".

Start using condoms no exceptions, test out of standard routine yearly for STI's & HIV
That's in April 2021.

Best, Jim

Hey Jim,

Alright, I guess I should just move on from this event.
Thank you for giving me reassurance from this matter.

And sorry to sound ignorant, but do I have to test?? because the last sexual encounter I had was with an escort 2 months ago, where we only engaged in frottage/genital rubbing and nothing else and from what I have learned that it isn't a risk right.....?

You last tested in April correct?

Then test again in April 2021, i.e standard routine screening as a sexually active adult for HIV & STI's.

The last encounter was August of 29th which was frottage Jim.

Lastly, the reason why the January incident started worrying me was I forgot that it happened, so thats why I can't recall it happening and thats why I said what if it broke.

And I won't be sexual active from now on Jim till I find a partner, I can promise you that because I am scared of all this anxiety.

Sorry to hear about the anxiety. If your fears are stopping you from living your life consider speaking to someone to help you cope with your fears.

Regarding the "what if's" 10 months later, at the time if the condom had failed during the act of intercourse it's would have been obvious.

This did not happen, I'm not going to go over irrational fears on a topic I've already addressed. So move on, please don't ask again.

Just one last question Jim and this I promise you,

A 11-week combo CMIA test result wont change that late right??

I know this irritating but I havenít got any one to talk too about this matter and that I really wanted to seek for help by going for therapy but right now with the whole Covid-19 situation, my country is under lock down where I literally cannot go out to see a therapist and I am thinking of going via online.

I am so grateful for your time and I am sorry for bothering you Jim.

You need to apply the information already provided. I'm not going to pretend you had exposure in Jan to test for.

Hello and good morning,

Hi Jim, hope you're doing well!!

So last week I met with a escort.

The escort gave me a unprotected handjob, unprotected blowjob, unprotected fingering of my anus, licked my anus(unprotected).
After that, the escort and I encountered with frottage(unprotected), where I was rubbing my penis against her wet vagina.

After that, I wore a condom and we had protected vaginal intercourse.
After I ejaculated, I removed the condom and I saw my semen in it, no obvious tears (like a hula hoop).

After that, she gave me unprotected prostate massage while giving me unprotected a handjob.

Thank you Jim,

Just one very last question before I leave,

Even if blood was involved in the blow job, anal fingering and the analingus it wouldnt be a risk right?? (Just to calm my anxiety down)

Again thank you Jim and hope you had a great year ahead :)

Hey Jim,

This is my last time here haha, I am going to Australia to study in May:))

So on the 28th of February 2021, I went to a massage parlour and at the end of the session she gave me a blowjob without a condom and I tried to give her a french kiss but she was said no, she had an ulcer so she said she could only give me a blowjob and we ended it with me ejaculating in her mouth.

So that was my last sexual activity.

Oh and just a recap before my next sexual checkup,

So I am planning on getting checked on the 10th of April a year after my last check up

So this were my activities
29th August 2020 - Frottage(unprotected) with a CSW
12th October 2020 - Unprotected blowjob with a massage therapist (donít think there was blood)
12th November 2020 - unprotected handjob
23rd December 2020 - Unprotected blowjob and unprotected ass rimming(got licked) and protected vaginal sex(condom didnít appear torn, semen was collected inside) with a CSW
25th December 2020 - Unprotected blowjob and protected vaginal intercourse with a message therapist(oh the condom was short like it covered 2/3 of my shaft but there wasnít any tearing seen)
2nd January 2021 - Unprotected ass fingering(got fingered by message therapist)
16th January 2021 - Unprotected ass fingering(got fingered by message therapist)
28th February 2021 - Whole body massage and unprotected blowjob (lady said she had an ulcer)

So thatís about it Jim, I know I am a tiring person butI just wanna be sure.

So do you think Iíll get another negative on April 10th 2021?? For my next annual check up??

You already know the answer regarding HIV to all the activities mentioned here. So unless you left something out you already know the expected HIV result.

Use condoms for any intercourse, test out of standard routine yearly for STI's & HIV.

Thanks for the prompt reply Jim,

So I guess I need not worry

But does the ulcer not mean anything ?? Since it acts as a passage for the virus to my penis?

Thank you again

Hey Jim,

I'm back here again haha

So 3 days ago I fell down and my whole body was hurting and my friend asked me to like visit this massage parlor. So me being all dumb and all visited this place and went for a massage.

During the massage, the masseuse offered me to be all handsy and all and due to the heat of the moment I said okay.

She stripped down naked and gave a body-to-body massage. During that time she tried giving me unprotected oral but after a minute or two I said no but she kept sliding up and down. Then she proceeded to ask me to suck her nipples and dumbly did it for 2 minutes and after that I ejaculated.

There was no vaginal nor anal penetration in this case.

So please asses my risk Jim :)

Thank you so much Jim

So for future reference.

HIV is only transmitted via

- Unprotected vaginal/anal intercourse

- Blood transfusion through IV, ingesting huge amounts of blood

- But it is not transmitted through unprotected blowjob, rubbing of genitals,
protected vaginal/anal , rimming, prostate massage, sucking of nipples, naked
   cuddling.

And if the condom were to fail, no matter how cheap or expensive it is, it will look like a complete failure( like a hola hoop) ?

Am I right Jim?

That's basically correct.

I would add that giving a blowjob would be a minute risk, although so much so that it would not warrant testing outside of routine.
