Random Headaches and Nausea
« on: July 18, 2020, 03:51:31 pm »
Hey All!

Hope you are all staying safe and well.

I've been diagnosed for 2 years now. Last time I checked (PRE-COVID) i am undetectable and i am on Biktarvy(recently) was on something else at first.

For as long as I can remember after being diagnosed I've been waking up with headaches/migraines that lead to vomiting. These episodes usually last half the day but they are always gone by 12/1/2PM.  They happen randomly - no real pattern except that it is always when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes the headaches wake me up.

In the last 2 years it has probably happen 10-12 times.

I spoke to my doctor and we re still trying to figure out what it was. Anyone experience this before?

It hasn't happened to me but my mom. If she sleeps a certain way (I.e. she faces the ceiling) she gets immense vertigo and in general has a very bad mood when she wakes up.
It might even be the way you sleep is uncomfortable.
I can't think of anything else,hope you resolve the issue and have a normal sleep/wake.

Hi StuckKidd; are all the other lab test okay? you should delete every other possible variable (cholesterol, glucose, triglycerides levels, check your blood pressure every day for a time, leave coffee, chocolate, cola, etc), sometimes they should cause some headaches. For my, even before being HIV positive, peanuts consumtion causes me headaches; i left them.
consider these and talk ever to your doctor about.
we al hope you feel better soon; please let us know how you are doing.
Regards!

Hey,

Iíve been on my meds just over a month and Iím experiencing something similar. Random headaches at random times and always feel nauseous when I wake up in the morning. I never get sick though and it doesnít last too long. Iím putting it down to side effects at the moment which will hopefully go away

@Sťan.

Could be the Tivicay (Dolutegravir) that you are adjusting to, however, do let you doctor know when you see them,about this and the anxiety, it could also be totally unrelated. I know, when I started Dolutegravir 6 years ago it gave me some issues but I switched to AM dosage and the issues diminished. Nowadays I gives me no issues whatsoever but that's me.

@StuckKidd
Any progress on finding out the cause, solutions or triggers?

Best, Jim
