What gets you through when life gets really tough?
« on: February 28, 2020, 03:23:40 pm »
I'm just quite overwhelmed these days and I feel like crawling in a ball and not going anywhere.

Things are adding up and I don't have the power to deal with this. What gets you guys through such times?

-Play video games or on the computer.
-Talk to someone, I know I can confide in.
-Exercise:  ride a bike, walk to the river.
-Spend time with my animals.
-All the above.

Iím not sure exactly what you are going through, or where you live. There is a crisis text line in the US, if youíd rather txt that talk.

Hoffnug, it depends how your personality works for getting better.
as Bhall4 comments, talking with friends helps as you have no idea. Sometimes they just have to attend you even if they dont tell anything about. Listening eachother is amazing.
if you really enjoy loneliness, be alone in a quiet and nice place, look how life runs, how the water runs or the windy sound of the branchs.
take quiet moments and be grateful with life or god or whatever you want to be with. Enjoy each breath you make.
huges!

Honestly, I try not to think about it much. I just say to myself that stressing will only make me worse.
Of course, doing your hobbies helps a lot and moving on with life in general. Since you get treatment and everything is normal, you shouldn't worry about it much, better focus on staying healthy and living your life as best as possible.

I donít know why i didnít think of that. Yes sometimes just being alone and thinking about all the positive stuff is truly beneficial.

Feel free to send me a PM if you need to talk.

Exercise and meditation. I have telephone apps for both. Mindfulness is not to be underestimated. Give it a try.
