I'm healthier than ever!
« on: February 26, 2020, 03:51:18 am »
Just came from the vamps (am at the bus as I'm writing) cd4s are 846 and ud!!!
The doc also told me on detail the rest of my blood work and all is perfect.
I did ask him about being a nurse and all and he said I can work in any job,but nursing is a bit more dangerous for me,so he recommended I go for social work instead!
I'm so very happy!!! 😢

Awesome news!!
I work as a nurse practitioner still.  I wear a mask more than I used to.  I frequently wash my hands, that has not changed. Iíve added a Vitamin C and sometimes take elderberry if I feel a little off.

He is right, working directly with sick patients may pose little risk, but staying compliant with your medicine will keep HIV under control and should not have significant impacts on your career.

Iím not sure where you live but there are laws regarding HIV+ healthcare workers.

Feel free to message me if you have any questions, specifically nursing.
