Thyroid Nodules???
« on: December 06, 2019, 09:06:31 pm »
Hi all,

Earlier this year, I was told that during a MRI, nodules were found on my thyroid. I delayed having the ultrasound until last week, but now the results have come back and I don't know what to think. One nodule was found on the right side, the other on the left side. The right side nodule is just short of 2 cm but is marked as "moderately suspicious" and annual follow-up is recommended. The left side nodule is about 1 cm and is marked as "highly suspicious". I'm going through so much right now both physically and mentally, and I don't have the strength to deal with anything else before I have a nervous breakdown. I know I'm scheduled to be seen by an ENT before the end of the month. Should I be worried about this or just try and put it in the back of my mind or even just completely let it go?

I would suggest keeping calm and not worry too much, thyroid neoplasia are rather common and almost all of them are successfully treated either thru ablation or surgical removal.

Your ENT specialist will be doing it, not you.

You need to train yourself in acceptance
And mindfulness serif your primary physician or ASO can point you to some counseling so you can learn self care techniques.

And good luck with the nodules.
