swing and a MISS! Strike 1!
« on: September 03, 2019, 06:44:01 am »
So it finally happened to me. FOr the first time since i started taking meds (4 years) i missed a dose! I am not worried or stressed at all and in fact i carried on as of nothing really happened - i have been reading and keeping informed and know that 1 day missed will not affect my >95% regiment requirement...and yet, i feel the need to "raise a red flag" to myself - "Hey buddy! Stop being so casual about this! This is serious business! Stick to the plan!! - Build a routine and stick to it!"...
i guess like anything else in life, we start to make exceptions and cut corners and then BOOM! The impossible happens.
So...i am not panicking and not building 15 safety mechanisms, but will try and get back to the routine i originally set up for myself:
1. 6 pills into the pig pill box on Sunday.
2. Every morning i put a dose into small pill box
3. Alarm every morning after bf - snooze until pill taken - then STOP ALARM.
4. Email reminder at noon IN CASE i missed or screwed up step #3.

Just thought i would share ...
Take care!

I know the feeling. I missed one of my two pills somehow just once, and I felt I had let myself down in some way. Same as you I knew it made no difference but couldn't help having a word with myself about adherence.

Of course it's not a thing to be worries about,it happens,we are human and we forget sometimes.
Personally I don't really think I could miss any of the doses since I got 2 reminders on my phone even if I forget.
The good thing is that you didnt panicked
