I was asked a couple of times over the years what do you take for pain? I had said I prefer aspirin. then I was told by these medical professionals that aspirin thins the blood . it would be better with my HIV I should take ibuprofen or Tylenol.  I said I would stick with aspirin because of  my own preference and trust of it .    Does anyone else have a preference for pain relief?

I have had migraines since childhood and aspirin has been enough .  for about thirty years of HIV I still take aspirin. I had kidney stones and they gave me what they said was Aleve for pain. My urine turned red . I stopped taking it

for medication head aches and upset stomach  I take alka-seltzer it is for hangovers but works at least for me for head aches and upset stomach .  it has aspirin in it .
just curious what anyone else might have experienced and what they do .

thank you

For some reason pill aspirin makes me vomit after 20 minutes of taking it. So if I have a fever or my head hurts I take liquid paracetamol (the one children take with the cherry flavour 😂) it's the only pain relief that seems light to me and helps with the headaches or fever.

I have been taking aspirin as a blood thinner daily for the last 15 years after I had seizures twice. I take it together with my hiv meds. No influence on my CD4s.

about 35 yrs ago I developed a serious allergy to aspirin and nearly died (same thing happened when I developed an allergy to pineapple a few yrs ago), so I take acetaminophen (whatever brand is cheap, there's no reason to pay more money for a fancy name like tylenol)

pepto-bismol also has aspirin in it, so i use Maalox for upset stomach
