if anyone needs: bottles of Eviplera ( Complera in the US)
« on: August 12, 2018, 02:04:30 pm »
Hi everyone,

my girlfriend an I, both switch from Eviplera to Odefsey (without any side effect by the way).

If anyone needs, we have some boxes of Eviplera left (all sealed and not open).

Greetings from Europe

Hiya

Welcome to the forum. I moved your thread here to this section, as a newbie to the forum its customary to open an introduction thread.

From your post I gather you and your GF are both living with HIV and on treatment?

Hi,

we are  a french/russian couple both HIV positive since 2012.

like most of the people with HIV, we went through all kind of period regarding the virus: rejection from our previous partners (thanks god, HIV-), denial, anger, depression...etc...then we met each other  (thanks to the virus) and actually now, we are quite happy to be HIV+ (we would have never met otherwise).

We started with Atripla (both been undectable after a few months), despite the side effects, we could not change treatment and had to continue with this one during 3 years, then switch to eviplera without any side effect.

Lightalltheway, we could not send you a private message, maybe you can send one to us, so we can reply.

Wow I find the Ďamericaní meds system so confusing.
As a thankful member of the NHS I seem to be able to get whatever I want, I even left a whole month of meds on holiday and it doesnít even matter as I just can get more and they donít even ask or keep a check!
God help us in Blighty if this brexit craps ruins our deal!

This has made me desperately sad. I took atripla for 3 months and went so low so quickly I had images of crashing my car into people just to end things. My meds were changed instantly and all the negative vanished within days.
This is horrific, nobody should have to live a half life. Nobody.

We had also the terrible dreams, suicidal thoughts and feeling very low and weird. After a while we were a bit getting use to them, focusing on the bright side (our cd4 were going up and viral load going down) and thought that we were still lucky compare to the people diagnosed in the 80s or 90s who would have done everything to have access to this treatment despite the side effects. We were very happy to change and be able to have Eviplera.  Not having the atripla side effect, was a big relief.
Some people are more lucky and have no side effects with Atripla.

We are not familiar with the american healthcare system neither, we are both living in Europe. When you are legal, most of the different european healthcare systems cover the medication for HIV+, which is amazing (specially if you compare to the situation from poorer countries).
