Being Terrorized Because of my Status
« on: November 05, 2015, 03:51:02 pm »
My ex-husband and I have been divorced for three years and, although he has repeatedly tried to contact me, I have refused all contact. While together, he was negative, aware of my status, we were always careful, and he was tested regularly. Out of no where, his new wife has been relentlessly contacting me by calling my house and through social media, stating she now has HIV and she is going to the paper and the police to report me, and they are going to sue me. I contacted law enforcement and they won't do anything because she has not threatened my physical self. Does anyone have any advice? I'm terrified to leave my house!

@Dlynn1982..... relax my dear...am sure you'v got lots of better things to worry about,so don't get scared or worked up over some empty threats from your Ex-husbands new wife. since you are quite sure he remained negative while you were with him, then perhaps she got it from someone else and now wants you to take the blame for her misconducts,or probably your ex-husband knows more than that...your conscience is clear so you have nothing to worry about, just sit tight and live your happy life, you made it this far and you are stronger than that. you are never alone...remember your happiness comes first!!! talk to your ex-husband to know what he has to say about it...you dont have to run away from your own house cos of some lady. That you are who you are doesnt make you less of a woman...if she claims she has it,then how is it your fault??? if she blames you, then maybe your ex-husband didnt intentionally gave it to her, thats if hes really NEGATIVE as you said...just sit tight and do what makes you feel normal...she will surely come around...its ok for her to panic at this stage...just remember you the BOSS!!! LOL...be HAPPY and LIVE ON!!!

I bet his new wife doesn't even have HIV.  She's probably just looking for an excuse to make your life miserable because she's jealous that her husband is still trying to contact you.
Tested positive on September 11, 2008

My heart goes out to you! I can relate to the fear of being "outed". This happened to me by someone I broke up with. He threatened to contact my place of employment. I called this guy's bluff. Told him to go ahead... report my status out of malice, and he will pay my wages for the rest of my life, as well as do jail time. But even if these perpetrators don't make good on their threat - the threat alone is cause for fear, and the fear is very real. These people are trying to control and stifle us. In my opinion it is predatory behavior. People who behave this way have more to hide than you and me. God bless!
