Little things I should have said and done...
But I never took the time...

Thank you Jody.  I'm sorry my post was rude, it came out of grief and sadness.  I am thankful that he's at peace now .

Hugs to you, my friend ....

Love, Alan

You know that Rocky would never feel that way about any of us.  It was not something that concerned him.  It is the quality of friendship that matters, not the frequency of contact.

Our very first AMG was Mexico City. Wee One and I had a horrific flight from Chicago, an aweful time traversing the MC airport, and a nearly impossible time getting a taxi to the hotel. When we FINALLY arrived, the driver was arguing with me about a tip, which I had already given him, and was blocking the trunk where our luggage was. I got the driver shoved out of the way, retrieved our luggage, and turned to grab Wee One's hand. Some man was following me around the taxi flashing pictures. Then to my horror, he stuck his head in the back door and took pictures of the Wee One. I grabbed his arm and yelled, "Why are you taking pictures of my child!?!" He turned to me, smiled, and said, "Hi, Mum. I'm Rab". I've loved him ever since.

After climbing one of the pyramids, Wee One and I sauntered off to find the rest of the group, whom we hadn't seen all day. We rounded the corner to see the entire group starring at us. From the center of the group came Rab, hands on his hips, head cocked. Then came his signature, "Now look, Missy.." I wanted to laugh, he was so darn cute.

In Boston, despite things being a bit rough, he came. We had more serious conversations during that AMG. I appreciated his candor and nonjudgmental honesty. I would still goad him, though, because that perpetually red face was just too cute. He had a big heart. Now mine is broken.

I remember in Mexico City Rab kept telling my mom she was holding her purse wrong and was going to get it stolen. So he kept grabbing it and showing her how she should carry it. It was funny.

I wanted to see him in San Diego and now I won't.
