CAN YOU HELP ME: Andy, Rapid, Jeff?
« on: October 14, 2013, 07:05:05 PM »
Thank you for your time and help. I was tested negative for hiv with eclia ag/ab test.
My last risk exposure was 5 years before test. But something i am worry about. Since 3 years back, i am taking medicine for my hypothireosis. I am taking it daily, every day since 3 years back and in the time of test. That medicine's name is levothyroxin (euthyrox) and i am taking 75 micrograms daily since 3 years back.

1.) Does taking 75 micrograms of levothyroxin since 3 years back can suppres production of antibodies to not show up in test?
2.) Does this medicine can interfere with test results (to affect machine, reagents or anything in test performance)?
3.) Do you know lasting of hiv eclia ag/ab test performance? I recived result within one and a half hour. Is it normal?
4.) Am i conclusively negative?
5.) If for some reason antibodies can not show up in test, would antigen component of test still be detectable even after many years after risk?
To say again: my last risk was 5 years before test.
Thanks again

The medications you are taking will not impact your reliably conclusive HIV test results.

You can absolutely rely on these results. You are HIV negative.

You are banned because you chose to ignore the forum rules regarding multiple accounts.

I'm locking this thread.
