I got the best news!

My fiance's HIV test was negative. That is amazing that one year of unprotected sex with me including anal and he was negative. I know he needs to test again in four months but it looks good for him!

Hey Tryingforhope,

Indeed it is good news that your partner has tested negative. However, it is strongly recommended that you use protection during anal or vaginal intercourse.

Your partner doesn't need to test again in "four months". A test at THREE months past your last unprotected intercourse will be sufficient and conclusive - provided you are always using condoms now. Please check out the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them with confidence.

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

I saw the condom info. We have not had unprotected sex since I found out. I am just hoping that the same news is there in a few months.
