Any Positive Musicians and Other Artists Out There?
« on: March 11, 2013, 06:39:19 am »
Hey. Like the title says, I'm tryin to connect with some passionate and talented poz musicians on this site.

I'm a singer/ songwriter; listen to almost every genre. Looking mainly for other singers and instrument players, but ppl with any artistic skills are welcome.

I really don't know what i'm doing lol. I'm pretty new to these forums. Just seems like a good start to bond with ppl over.

Anyways...Hey :)

Zanga,

Are you hiv positive yourself? If so, welcome to the forums.

You posted your thread in the AIDSmeds Gatherings forum, which is a place where people discuss and make plans for the annual social gathering of people who are members of this website.

I've moved your thread to the Living with forum, which assuming you're hiv positive yourself and want to connect with other hiv positive musicians, is the more appropriate place for it. I'm sure we have at least a few other poz musicians who frequent this place.

If you're not poz yourself, the only places you should be posting are the Am I Infected?, Someone I Care About, and to a certain extent, the Off Topic forums. Keep in mind that the OT forum is only for discussions that have nothing to do with hiv.

Please make sure you read the Welcome Threads that appear at the top of some forums before you post in those forums. Thank you for your cooperation.

By the way, it would be nice if you introduced yourself in a little more detail, other than being a musician. It's always nice to have an idea who we're talking to. (And I don't mean disclosing your real name or anything like that, I'm talking more about how you're coping with your hiv; how long you've been poz, what your numbers are like and whether or not you're on meds. That kind of thing.) :)

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

Hi Ann. Yes I am HIV positive as well. I'm 24 years old, just starting treatment. Im a bit nervous to post too much personal stuff so soon.

Music is my main hobby. Sing, play piano and guitar. I just want to chat with some music ppl. Maybe share work, stories, skype or something, etc.

I guess this would fall under Off Topic huh?

Anyways, my profile is Zanga211.
