HIV Medicaid/SNP Plans in NYC
« on: April 23, 2012, 03:46:07 PM »
I was recently enrolled in a Medicaid SNP(Special Needs Plan) called Select Health here in NYC, but as of June 1,2012 the plan will be replaced with another plan called VNSNY. I was given the option to go with VNSNY or choose another SNP plan. The Choices are Amida Care, Metroplus Partnership in Care or VNSNY. Is anyone a member of any of these plans? I was told that one of the plans provide you a monthly metro card, which would be very useful. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

While very late in response..i just joined..i am on Metroplus Partnership in care (Medicaid SNP).  You get a round trip metrocard for every billable appointment either supplied through the clinic/office or through metroplus as a rebate.  FYI..where you want to get care should dictate what plan you choose as not all facilities accept all SNP plans, not if they are paying for you to go to the doctor.  Good luck and health first..benefits second
