Atripla for breakfast
« on: March 18, 2012, 10:38:48 AM »
This is my first post, but I have been lurking for some time-- I can't tell you how thankful I am for this forum, and all of the people on it. All of the public discussion has really helped me better understand all I've been through since Aug 2011.

I decided it's time to jump in for once, so here goes.

Contrary to nearly all I've read on this forum and even my prescription bottle label, I take my Atripla when I wake up. My doctor said this would be a good time, and it really helps my adherence. I mean, if everything's good, I will be waking up each day.

My partner was taking his Atripla at 7PM, and going into a psychadelic haze, so he started taking it right before bed, and that works for him. However, for me, the morning works.

It makes my morning commute via train much more intriguing, and the trip wears off pretty quickly.

I think the only problem is it makes me have an aversion for food until about 1 PM (lunch). I think I may be going too long without food. I usually can only eat a bit for lunch, then I go the rest of the day without eating. No desire, or thought for eating. I get home around 7PM, and not usually to hungry. I fainted the other day, so I'm starting to get concerned.

Does anyone else have experience taking Atripla in the morning? Does it do the same to your appetite?

Anyone else had lacking hunger, or similar experiences?
