My Poz BF Leg Pain
« on: February 26, 2012, 02:03:48 pm »
Whats up Guys,

I thought I'd write for some suggestions of feedback...
My boyfriend has been on Atripla for several months now and has recently (within a month's time) begun to experience excruciating leg pain on both legs. It had started off with the left but now its on the right.  I got him a cane which seems to help. He works half a day and is in pain as he has to stand. I've tried massage, pain patches and tiger balm on him and nothing seems to help. He has Kaiser Insurance and will be making an appointment with his specialist, hopefully in the week to come. His CD4 is in the 650 range and his VL is undetectable. I know he takes Vitamin D3 (once in a while when we remember) as he is low on that vit. We are thinking it could be related to Vit D3 deficiency or as a side effect of the Atripla. When he sees the doctor, is there anything any of you recommend we should bring up to the doc or request? Please, any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
