Local Support

I am a hetero male in Orlando Florida. While I have met some wonderful people. There really is no group or groups geared for positive straight men. All the groups here seem to be for gay men or specific ethnic women groups. Like I have said I have met some good people but the truth is being HIV is more widely accepted in the gay community. It can get pretty lonely for a hetero guy. I have tried the dating site with out much success maybe I'm too picky.  I am not specifically looking for love but just companionship and some one I can talk openly with outside of a clinical setting.

Thanks for your feedback and you are right the common denominator  is our status and I am grateful for the outlet available to me and have made some good friends in the support group I go to . I guess the real issue for me is the fear of  disclosure/rejection.
