Many ARS Symptoms - Worried.
« on: July 10, 2011, 05:13:48 PM »
Ok, first my symptoms

1. Fatigue
2. Sore Throat which started about 2 weeks following exposure
3. Oral Thrush - tongue has white covering and has spotty sores - also after 2 weeks
4. swollen lymph nodes in groin - it is not very swollen much.
5. pain in right arm
6. Had a few red spots in hands and thighs
7. Chills in the night
8. Unable to sleep for long in night, body feels very warm.

I am now in week 3 following the exposure. I had a test taken at 2.5 weeks and it came back negative. I know it is too early to test at that time and I need the courage to test at a later point in time. Anyone else who had these symptoms and tested negative? The thrush is really freaking me out.

Ok, my exposure was at a strip club

1. Fingering the stripper. The skin behind my nail was peeled
2. The stripper may have also rubbed her vagina on my penis.
3. Another stripper spit on my penis and gave me a Handjob.

Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV as you have never had an exposure.

I am now at week 6 and I am still having many symptoms like

- Sore throat
- Thrush
- Lymph nodes in groin and neck
- Numbness in hands and legs
- Diarrhea
- Weight loss

I also believed I was a low risk/no risk exposure but why am I having all these symptoms. I keep replaying the incident over and over in my mind and I believe my risk were
1. Fingering with cut
2. Vaginal fluids may have come into contact with penis during the nude lap dance or during the hand job
3. Stripper saliva might have had blood

I tested at 2. 5 weeks. It was negative. Worried and need some courage to test again.

Your negative result is no surprise to us since as Rod has said to you, you did not have a risk for HIV. The only confirmed risks for the sexual transmission of HIV are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. That's it. As long as you use condoms for those activities you will be well protected.

If you haven't been to a doctor about your symptoms then that is what you should be doing. Your symptoms have nothing to do with HIV.

And there is no need for further HIV testing. Stop with the HIV drama. You're not a doctor and you are mis-diagnosing yourself.
