« on: May 05, 2011, 09:00:40 AM »
Hi guys,

I got recommend from the doctor to start with Viread + 3TC + Stocrin (CD4 ~ 300, VL 22,000).
Have you guys got any experience about above meds .. good, bad, side effect, resistant ... anything?

Atripla is not available in my area yet.

Atripla is efavirenz, tenofovir and FTC in one pill

Stocrin is a brand name for efavirenz
Viread is a brand name for tenofovir
3TC is nearly identical to FTC

They work the same, have the same side effects, same benefits, it's just Atripla comes as one tab and Stocrin/Viread/3TC as 3 tabs.

Thank you matt. That mean few hours after meal, once per day, several pills and watch for the dream, possible rash, light dizzy ... Thanks for other atripla posts.

My meds could be generic version of the above, for free from gov though.
Should not be a big problem, also according to prev posts about generic atripla.

This site and you guys are really helpful.

Thanks so much,

Hey butpoz,

Can you import Atripla?

Depending on where you live many research sites are enrolling for clinical trial to compare Atripla to 'Btripla' - Tenofovir with Rilpivirine in one pill - you would be able to take one pill once a day and have all of your care and medication paid for.
