This comes from an e-mail I got from The Ryan White Medical Providers Coalition and thought it may be of interest to some.

Details on New Insurance Option for Individuals Denied Health Coverage

Two new fact sheets

developed by the Federal AIDS Policy Partnership's HIV Health Care Access Working Group offer important details on the new program for people denied health coverage due to a pre-existing condition. The information includes details on state run programs that provide presumptive eligibility for people with HIV and Hepatitis C without requiring proof of a coverage denial. Information includes online links to the provider directories for the state and federally administered programs. Additional state-specific information is available online at: http://www.healthcare.gov/law/provisions/preexisting

Industry Assistance Programs for HIV and Hepatitis Medications

Over the past year, the Fair Pricing Coalition (FPC) has tackled patient health insurance co-payment (co-pay) programs and patient drug assistance programs (PAPs) and negotiated co-pay programs with almost every major HIV drug manufacturer. The attached document provides updated information on co-pay assistance programs and programs that provide medications for HIV and Hepatitis B and C. Updates are available at www.fairpricingcoalition.org/.
