A very special day
« on: August 23, 2006, 07:49:57 PM »
To my forum family,

Today became a very special day for me as I picked up my CANADIAN PASSPORT at 7:30 this morning in Montreal, before we left that beautiful city to return home.  Many of you know what this means to me and my husband, Stephen as we have shared our future plans on these very forums.  This trip to Montreal brought us just one step closer to our dream of living in Montreal.

Now that we are home, our house is going on the market in three weeks and hopefully we can be out of here early next year.  Another friend in Montreal marked a map for us on desirable/reasonable places in Montreal to rent or buy and with any luck our winter trip this year will house-hunting in Montreal.

We know there are still hurdles to come, but this one was a really big one, especially for me as I've always felt a special attachment to the Canadian people, but I think that will become a blog story.  This was separate from the AMG event and as such I have posted it here.

As I told Stephen, thanks for pushing me to attain my dreams.

Congrats, Joe! So, you have one of those sexy accents now, right? :)

Joe,  How kewl is that or what!!  I think your hurdles are not those 10 foot tall ones either..  Just a good sprint will get you over the TOP...    Canada seems to be where the kewl people hang anyway...  They have the mad scientists that are probably going to figure out the bug and everything else including those wild eyed French speaking folks!

Congrats, fellow canuck. Or is that felicitations? :D I took out my citizenship in 2003 and it was one of the best things I have ever done. A very memorable milestone indeed.
