We're definitely in the same boat. I'm starting this weekend, I'm a little nervous / anxious about the outcome of starting meds for the first time.

I was wondering if you knew how long you've been infected?  If recently, your body could still be trying to come to a balance with HIV and you may not have needed meds for years.  I'm wondering whether you came to the decision to start or whether your doc suggested you start now??

I'm not saying you shouldn't start.  If you're ready, then that is what is important.  I'm just always curious how people come to the decision to start--especially after a recent infection or with good numbers.

Good luck and keep us informed how you're doing.

sreamer17ydr and CJ2009

Experiences of Atripla do differ, but for what it's worth, when I started on it a few months ago I was expecting all sorts of side-effects, adverse reactions and various assorted apocalyptic consequences. What actually happened was Nothing. Zip. So far, at least, the drug has done exactly what it says on the tin; I went undetectable within a very short time and have had no side effects so far. So while your nerves and anxieties are fully understandable, you may be pleasantly surprised. I was.
