New to the forum - Vaginal penetration with underwear question
« on: February 09, 2010, 07:07:14 AM »
Let me just say, I just joined this site and think you guys do a great service and provide very good information.  I have been reading the posts and the transmission thread, but can't find a situation that I experienced.
I am a male and went to a strip club and got a private dance from a female.  I had very thin, nylon underwear on (the under armour kind).  She had a g-string.  We were grinding very hard and definitely I could feel penetrating her a little bit.  At no time, did my underwear come off.   I am concerned about my HIV risk now.  I know it can't be transmitted through frottage, but my situation appears to be a bit more than frottage.  Am I at a real risk here?   Thank you in advance for answers.

At no time were you at risk.

Call it frottage or not, your penis was still covered and you were not at risk for HIV transmission. In the future if you were to find yourself in a similar situation, you might want to keep matters simpler and put a condom on.

HIV is a fragile virus and is not transmitted through fabric or from environmental surfaces. t

I just keep worrying if that her g-string was very thin and there were some microscopic holes in my underwear that I could possibly be infected.  I should have had a condom on, it would have like Andy said made things easier.  So I guess the thing is here that HIV can't pass through fabric, no matter how thin or even if there are microscopic holes in it?  Thank you for your responses.

HIV is a fragile virus. It requires the kind of setting which actual unprotected intercourse provides and not th kind of sexual play you are concerned about.

You need to stop with the what ifs and get on with your life. Yours was absolutely a non-risk incident. Period.
