One year anniversary
« on: January 11, 2010, 10:41:14 AM »
Its a year since Kate died.
I had it all planned out what I was going to say here. But I just can't write it today, sorry.

I miss her and I feel so totally alone and so sad.
I said to one of her friends who called me earlier,I know it's probably selfish but I just need to know people haven't forgotten her today.

Dearest Matthew, I've been thinking about Kate all day today - and every day for the past few weeks. I miss her too.

Jan started a thread for her in the In Memoriam forum. http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=30720.0

I've been wanting to add something to the thread, but like you, I just can't right now.

Matthew, you're never really alone - Kate will always be in your heart.

Hugs and lots of love,

I didn't know Kate so after reading this I was curious and looked up her previous posts. She sounds awesome! After reading her posts, I feel like I do know her at least a little bit.

In one of the posts, she had included a picture of herself . . . wow, so pretty.

I only knew Kate (penguin) a short time but she touched my life as I'm sure she touched everyone she came in contact with ... even if it was only online.  She is missed!

How is it possible to forget kate?

A year...

A year, well, many to remember,
a little before kate, my mum (Jan 3rd)
today, kate
and in a few weeks, some more
and a few I worry about, for chalked up as next

not a good year for departing

I took a day when I was in Eastern Cape in November to do the fire/beach thing, but, shucks! it chucked it down  solid for 10 days, so PSJ 2nd beach or Gonubie did not get visited. But when I was stuck in the rain in East London, with the SA Airlink planes overshooting the runway, a loerie dogged me in my bed and breakfast, right in the coral tree outside my balcony. And again in Kloof, Durban, across the lawn. Specifically, one with red wings. Can't be the same loerie.

But Thembisa, my ex's grandmother's maid said, someone has come to visit you. And there was singing in Zulu.

Now I am crying, but I do not forget, ever

Salut! to you bro

Just before she died, Katie sent Matty the Damned a small metal seahorse she made with her own two hands.

I have it here now. It makes me sad. I love it.

The more time that passes following her death, the more painful it is.

Oh Matthew,

Kate is not forgotten.  I remember her every day, and smile.  She's alive in my heart, as she is in yours.
Much love to you-

I hope you are OK .  The pain will always remain when you lose someone as special as Katie.

Sweet Matthew, you know what Katie means to me and Mim.  I hope, also, that you realize how much you mean to us.  Kate will NEVER be forgotten - she lives very much in our hearts.
