Living My Dreams!
« on: August 20, 2006, 01:48:35 AM »
Hey guys,

The last three weeks have been hard.  I have never cried so much in my life.  Initially, I was doing pretty well with my recent diagnosis.  I think it is now just sinking in.

The one good thing I am really concentrating on is trying to live out my dreams.  I've always wanted to operate my own business.

I'm now in the process of writing a business plan and securing financing!  I'm also working on my masters degree in accounting.

Hopefully, I can do both!

I am such an Aries.  I want to be in charge!  I don't mind having "the buck stop here!"

I am excited!

Now I just need to find a way to start dating again!  I want a family (partner + children)

I will no longer settle for anything but happiness or will die trying to "live my dreams"

P.S.  As you can tell, I'm in a state of euphoria.......Guys, please keep my feet to the grindstone on this one.....I need as much support as I can get!

"Honey, be who you is"  Madea.........

Hello !

GOOD FOR YOU !! This is great. You should continue to live out your dreams, and do the things in life that YOU want to do. Yes, there will be some difficult days ahead, but how we manage those difficult days, is what makes the difference in those of us living with HIV, or those of us consumed by it.

If I had decided after my diagnosis, to give up, back in 1985, who knows where my life would be now. It is absolutely fantastic that you are persuing your own business. After all, its much better working for yourself, then working for someone else.It gives a much better sense of Independence! After you get established, you can determine your workload, and pace !!

PS. and by the way.... It's OK to cry !! Then you pick yourself up, and say" I will move on"

Great post !, and good luck and success----------Ray  :)
