20 Reunion!
« on: March 31, 2009, 08:55:14 AM »

This year marks 20 years since I graduated from High School! 20 freakin years! A friend I graduated with called to inform me there was going to be a 20 Year Reunion. I ain't going! I never liked high school. The awkward years. No thanks but it's fun thinking about it. Back then the girls had big hair with lots of hair spray. Guys had feathered hair or had the "wet" look and the jocks always wore tight jeans with tight t-shirts - major eye candy. I was still "green" meaning I hadn't kissed anyone yet. I wonder if the kids still say that today. Poison and Bon Jovi were huge and Madonna was causing controversy with her video "Like A Prayer".
Ok, that was my visit. Don't need to go to the reunion now!  :D

Hey Mark,

This is our 40 year and a reunion is not planned.  On our graduating night, we marched from the gym to the football field chanting... "We like 69".  Being the graduating senior,  Most Likely to Turn Gay  I never had the chance to share the moment with the other kids because we never, ever had any reunion.

They have tried a few times to get a party started by calling it a 69 Party but they mostly draw a few out of towners with big bellies and the coaches wife.  Oh yeah, the coaches wife... While her husband was passing out the towels in the shower for his winning team (part of his unique coaching style), his wife(with style of her own), was passing out blow jobs in the men's Room of the local bar.  I could see the Reunion Committee as we speak, serving Ice Tea out of a Jeep can at the Country Club.   ;D  Have the best day

I graduated from a small high school (class of 57 students) and attended our 5th, 10th, 20th, and 25th reunions.  The 25th was actually a year early and served the class of '83 and my class of '84.  It was pretty fun, actually.  I kept up with only one person I graduated with for a few years and got back in touch with him about 7 years ago.  Most of the people that attended both reunions were married and had kids - no surprise.  One other guy besides me is gay; I always knew he was gay back in high school!  A couple people looked almost the same; some were unrecognizable to me.  I will say that I have aged more 'gracefully' than most of my graduating class!  ;)  I always suggest that people attend their reunions - at least one or two - if it's even remotely possible.  If it sucks, you can always leave and not bother with any more.
