Video of treatment for facial wasting
« on: March 28, 2009, 11:11:57 AM »
Here's an interesting and informative video of an actual treatment session for facial wasting.

The improvement is very impressive. This particular treatment program, which uses both Radiesse and Sculptra, would be very expensive, even with the help of a Patient Assistance Program. It would also require periodic touch-ups.

Top (Breakfast): Prezista, Norvir, Isentress, Zoloft (2), Glyburide (2), Aspirin
Bottom right (Dinner): Prezista, Norvir, Isentress
Bottom left (Bedtime): Sustiva, Trazodone (2), Lipitor, Septra (no longer taking this)
Center: Alprazolam (Xanax)
Not shown: various vitamins & supplements

Very nice. Offers folks some concept of the procedure and reasons why people have this or similar procedure done. I particularly appreciated the docs comment on learning curve on treating lipo.

Hi lipoatrophy is barely even noticeable. Really. I would say a grade 1 or so. If I didn't know he was HIV+ I would not have thought there was anything wrong with him.

I find these pictures (and procedure) more helpful:

Very Informative... I had Radiesse injected over a period of 4 months in my face... unfortunately I did not have any pain med mixed in as he did on the video... but, I wanted to have my face back... so far so good... cost for 7 vials and procedure was over $6,000 for the product and $150 per session for 3 sessions... I'm going to have some touch-ups later this year. It's great to have my face back...
