Am I infected? Very Worried!
« on: March 08, 2009, 10:27:06 PM »
Hi. Thanks for reading. Just need some help and reassurance.

I am a male heterosexual in good health. Around Dec. of 2007 I had sex with a female in a massage parlor. The lady used her own condom and put it on me before she gave me oral. Then we continued with vaginal intercourse with the condom still on.  While inside her during sex, I ejaculated in her and my penis became soft with the condom still on.  She knew immediately and stopped.  I'm pretty sure the condom was still on when she pulled out. My memory is still a little vague.

About 2-3 weeks later i was horribly sick with a very bad fever and had several cases of diarrhea. I also had some dry coughing to go with that.

Also recently for a few months my tongue has been very sore in the middle and also some whiteness on the top.  I looked online and googled the symptoms.  Oral thrush and/or dry mouth came up and the pictures looked similar to my tongue.  I went to my dentist and he said it was caused by stress and gave me antibiotics. Just finished the medicine and the soreness is gone, but the white tongue, dry throat, and dry cough is still there. Some websites say oral thrush is caused by a weakened immune system caused by hiv.

What do you guys think? What is my risk? Any feedback would help. Thanks

You had protected sex so at no time were you at risk if contracting HIV.

Condoms provide very effective protection. As Rod has said, nothing you did put you at risk for HIV transmission. If your symptoms persist you should discuss them with your doctor.

There is nothing HIV-specific about your symptoms. But that's not surprising since you didn't do anythnig risky.

This is NOT an HIV situation.
