You know your poz when.....
« on: August 05, 2006, 03:36:27 AM »
You know your poz when you set up your friends and it clicks.

You know your poz when your friends want to set you up with all their non poz friends and your nooo!

You know your poz when you say no cause the " talk" is to hard to do again.

You know your poz when your friends are hooking up left and right and your jealous but not.

It has been a time of growth for me these last two months.Yes l admit l am sad at times. On the other hand l am learning to like me and my own company a lot more.I know this may not last forever....Who knows what tomorrow brings. But tonight was rough being the only single one left in my group of friends.

I hear you, loud and clear. Jay
Her finely-touched spirit had still its fine issues, though they were not widely visible. Her full nature, like that river of which Cyrus broke the strength, spent itself in channels which had no great name on the earth. But the effect of her being on those around her was incalculably diffusive: for the growing good of the world is partly dependent on unhistoric acts; and that things are not so ill with you and me as they might have been, is half owing to the number who lived faithfully a hidden life, and rest in unvisited tombs.

Dear Blue,

I was kind of thinking of Jeff Foxworthy for a moment... Even after the punch line it will get better.  I had the opportynity to spend the last 6 of 10 years alone, found someone perfect to discover there is more wrong in a persons life than HIV.  Somehow, I never thought of that.  Have the best day

Everyone seems to be coupling these days. I find I just don't socialize that much with people any longer because our lives have become a lot more divergent.

That's just the way it is, I think. But, it has its plusses as well.

I agree. I need my time on my own to entertain the sheer dimension of things I experience now. If I run into someone nice I won't say no but it will never occupy the place again it once did. Or prove me wrong.

It has been my experience that you find love when you least expect it
and rarely ever when you're looking for it.  But then I'm a hopeless romantic who believes
the chemistry has to be there.........
I thought I was actually content to be alone...before I met David.  After an eleven year relationship I was
anxious to rediscover who I was again....four years later when David came along and stole my heart.......
I wasn't looking for it nor did I expect it.  I was forty five and totally unprepared for what became the
Love Affair of a lifetime...

Never say never and never give up hope...............

Hi Bluelove!
Wow what a nice, honest post. I think the key to your sanity and well being will very much depend on...." l am learning to like me and my own company a lot more."

I know for whatever the reason I'm often my own worst enemy.
It seems like you have a pretty good handle on your life. Obviously you are a strong person. I get the feeling you will be around for a long, long, time.
What kind of doughnuts do you like?

It is hard when you see all the "coupling" going on around you and all the pressure and it is all so much more complicated because of "the big secret."  However, I do like to get to know a partner, on a detailed intimate level.  My parents have been together my whole life, so I think I am pretty well brainwashed.

I have learned a lot since my diagnosis in '04 and a lot has been about me and the strength I am, but I have decided that "living with HIV" means LIVING and I will not let it defeat my immune system or my intimacy system or my emotional system or any other system of being human.

Still, it is scary, and every potential partner I disclose to means more people know in a small town in the "bible belt."  I am not quite ready for that.  I can deal with rejection, but I am not quite ready to wear a scarlet letter...

Hollywood seems to be serving up an obsession with superheroes.  They are always exposed to something that gives the superpowers.  That is what we are- superpeople, extrapeople!  You also know your poz when you breathe in life and exhale love!

Wishing you the best!
