Atripla works!!!!!
« on: January 16, 2009, 04:21:15 PM »
Started Atripla on November 17, 2008....no side effects at all!! (knock on wood....) just got my first labs back and cd4 395( a little lower than I hoped) cd4% 20.5(up 5% in just 2 months!!!) and vl is undetectable!!!! My doc said I can come back every 4 months now instead of 3 months, which rocks! I have also switched to taking Atripla in the a.m. instead of the evening which fits my schedule better. I am so thankful for the meds we have now!

Congratulations!  I agree Atripla rocks!  I still get the vivid dreams (oh honey!)  Last night this hunk was coming on to me...... ;D   I take Atripla in the morning too and also do not regret starting meds early.

;D Congratulations.....It's great to hear you are taking something that is convenient and fits your schedule because that will keep your future options open, since it is an easier drug to take.  I've been on Atripla since it first came out and it has done the same for me.  I started with around a CD4 count of about 80 on it and just last week, my CD4 count is now 437.  As of last week, my partner now takes the same medicine and loves it, as well.  I think you will do very well on it.  I wish you continued health.

Congratulations! I have been taking Atripla for almost 2 years and it has worked wonders! I am very happy with it. I also still have vivid dreams. The only time I mind is when I have a nightmare then it is not so good...

I have had great results with Atripla as well. Before Atripla cd4 was 474, VL 22500, after two weeks of Atripla, cd4 was 620 and VL 56, nearly undetectable, i should have waited one more day for my labs haha. good luck

Atripla is awesome! Started in November of 2007, and had a few interesting dreams ... and a bit of dizziness at the start. Otherwise, I've had great results and the one-pill-a-day regimen is really easy to manage.

Glad to hear so many others are having similar results!

i can attest to this miracle drug. I've been taking it since June. Vl is now undetectable, CD4 is 723.
The first week or so was tough adjusting. feverish, anxious, ill feeling. Now no side effects at all.
100% adherent. Hope I can stay with this regimen for a long, long time!

My only anxiety now is if I were to ever lose health insurance. Retail is $1700 per month. I pay $10 for a 3 month supply.

Yep, it sure does work!  Hubby and I both started Atripla in Dec '06.  He takes his at night, but I take mine in the morning.  It took me a LOT longer to become undetectable, but then my viral load was much higher.  Congrats!

I should not, but I will say it as it might potentially save life (for those who can't get an insurance).

Atripla equivalent (30 tablets stocrin + 30 tablets truvada) cost in RSA about 90 euros.

So with 1700USD you can almost pay 10 months supply + round trip ticket.
