1st pro-fess-a-nal gig
« on: January 10, 2009, 04:20:44 PM »
I went to the bank today, and then to the music store to pick up a gee-tar i had work done to.
On the way home i stopped at my hangout ( a little coffee shop) for a coffee and a bit of lunch.
the cold would have played havoc on the guitar so i took it in with me.
The owner and the cooks said i had to play a song for them, so i did" behind blue eyes" by the who.
While i was playing the cooks put a bowl by my feet and started tossing change in it. :o

When i went to pay my bill the boss said it was on him for the entertainment.
I racked in a Whopping $1.30  ;D  Yeah baby a buck thirty plus a free meal ;)
I guess this makes me a pro-fess-a-nal pan handler :D

Seems as of late life does not hold all that much joy anymore.
But ol Lucas's friends gave me a good laugh today.
God bless them.

I did frame the buck thirty to hang in the gee-tar room.

Hey Lucas,

I don't tell this to very many people but after college graduation worked for a weekly newspaper.  The pay was commission only and my first paycheck for pounding the streets selling advertising was $2.30.  Living with the fear of being a college graduate, a pan handler with a cell phone, I quit that job that day and went to work for the daily newspaper.   ;D  Have the best day

I'm surprised Michael didn't make you an offer to be your agent.

Congrats.  I'd love to hear you sometime.
