Looking for SPV-30, Flu-Guard, French Boxwood HELP
« on: November 12, 2008, 07:17:15 PM »
I've been positive for 15 years and to date no meds.  I have used all kinds of alternative therapies.

I've taken spv-30 for years.  Aka Flu Guard.  Comes from a french boxwood tree.

I think in June fda said it can't be advertised as immune booster.  I know it's on the shelf somewhere on the planet.

Welcome to our forums, Islandgrl.  I'm unclear about your post.  What's your question?

Hey Islandgirl,

If I understand correctly, you are looking for this supplement/altherative medication called Flu Guard or SPV 30.

I've not seen it nor heard of it, but will keep my eyes open during my treks to the various health food, herb stores.

Did the FDA order it pulled? If so, It may not be available in the States any longer and you may have to look outside the country.

The FDA ordered the single US supplier to stop distributing it due to unproven claims of its efficacy.

AIDS non-profit nutritional buyers clubs are not required to stop selling it.  Try contacting ATI in Atlanta.  They may have it.  I bought a supplement from them that had been pulled off the shelf in the past.
