Anxiety attack
« on: September 30, 2008, 12:39:01 PM »
I recently gave a girl oral sex (Im a guy) which was unprotected but I did use a condom during sex that didn't break. I was told afterward by her that she had hpv.  I have since asked her if she had been tested and she said she had and this was all that had come up recently in her last pap.

its right at 2 weeks later and Im driving myself nuts thinking I got HIV.  I have felt kinda clammy and have been sweating more then normal at nights (not all over but my pillow has been wet a couple nights) which could easily be brought on by anxiety and me constantly reading about symptoms etc.  Whats got me really worried is the past couple days I have had almost a feel of blue balls in my testicles which when I looked it up online it seems as if I have something called Epididymitis.

I realize Im prob going overboard and my anxiety is getting the best of me but how at risk do you think I was?  I have had 1 partner who I know was safe for the last 4 years until last feb from then I have had protected sex just twice with two different girls.

This is prob one of the more helpful sights i have come across in my sleepless nights I've had lately.

I can't say that it is anxiety, what I can tell you is it has nothing to do with HIV.

Like Rod I can't diagnose your symptoms here. No one can responsibly do that. But I can certainly say that your having given her oral would not have put you at risk for HIV transmission.

If your symptoms continue to trouble you then discuss them with your doctor. For sure this is not an HIV situation.
