About my user name.
« on: July 29, 2008, 08:18:01 PM »
Hello everyone.

I just want to let you know, that Tim Horn and I worked together in accommodating me about changing my user name.

I have to say that this was very important and meaningful to me, as I am not a house name anymore.

I am no longer, at least on this site, associated with things that came with it.

I feel very good about that and it is part of my process of getting on with the many changes in my life.

Thank you Tim for your help and thank you all for your support.

If this is a good thing for you....then by all means I am happy for you.  I never did understand your other screen name.

I know what you mean and yes, this is very important to me.

I am not hiding anymore, what you see is what you get. I am living with HIV since 1987 and I am proud of that.

It's just not so important anymore that people see my face, know my name or where I live.

It was silly really don't ask me why; I've made a fool of myself, lost my dignity, integrity and most importantly the trust from the people that were so meaningful to me.

I put myself at risk, made mistakes and very bad choices. I paid the price. It's fair and part of the rules.

It took my mother's death to finally realize and understand the making of me.

And that is such an opportunity in ones life time, and I intend to make the most of it.

Thank you for your support Joel. :)

Thanks for your message!

How timely (at least for me) as I have been trying to learn how to change my user name.  Can you please offer advice on what one should do to change their user name?

Thanks for any suggestions/advice.

Hi Chris,

It's not something that we members can do.

You would have to send your request to Tim Horn, President and editor-in-chief of this site.

PS Welcome to the forums.
