Butt For You
« on: July 11, 2008, 12:16:46 am »
Does anyone have any experience with this company?  Their products seem a bit pricey yet they claim total comfort for those suffering fat loss on the butt which makes it difficult to sit for long periods.  They also advertise that the products for both men and women have a natural look and feel.

Web site: http://www.buttforyou.com/

Thanks.

This made me smile......brought back a memory I haven't thought about in several years.

Back in the 90's when I was so ill, but we would still occasionally try to "go out", I bought a fake butt.   Me = beanpole skinny, with a round butt.....I'm sure it looked ridiculous....but what made me STOP wearing it was guys who would try to touch it (which, inevitably, they will).   ;)

Thank God for belts, else my pants would fall off.  I have no hips to hold them up.

I also have a problem sitting on benches and other hard surfaces, due to loss of fat in my butt. About two years ago, I bought padded briefs from Butt For You, but I didn't like them. They're well constructed, but they're quite heavy; in warm weather, they can be uncomfortable. Also the pads didn't really match up that well with my anatomy, so the padding wasn't located where I needed it.

I do know someone who is very happy with this product. It all depends on individual. If you order them, try just one pair, even though you get a discount for ordering three at a time.

I've been wearing "Butt-for-you" for over 3 years.  And I'm still uncomfortable on hard benches and flat seats with no cushions.  When I was a 104lbs. I had a padded towel seat, as well.  I very pleased with the quality, and I think they fit fine.  I feel naked when a don't have them on, actually.

Previously, I was going to a derm doc, who was very into Sculptra, and advance anything being injected into my butt.  He says it was much safer to want padded underwear. But I'm now on a budget, and can not longer afford to inject myself with Sculptra ever six month.  I'm researching PMMA for permanent results.    The face and vein camouflage this fine, but I'm still a little hesitant about my butt.  Not only will it cost $5000+, but I wondering from the "wear and tear" from constant sitting?

I wear them and have always been happy with them.  Sometimes I double up on the pads that they include, and it definitely makes sitting on hard surfaces more bearable!!

Oh, I tried these horribly, dreadful things for about a month.  Frankly I'd rather just explain to people that I have AIDS and lipoatrophy and can't sit on a hard surface, which is what I do.  In a pinch I can last on a hard surface for 30 minutes by continually shifting myself around, though it starts to hurt my back.  I've been known to fold up a coat or jacket and sit on it, etc.

I also have to use knee pads or a kneeling cushion to do any gardening, as that's even painful. Even resting that place where your palm meets your wrist too long on a desk when using a keyboard results in a callous.  Sometimes even wearing sunglasses hurts and will cause a quick headache feeling.  I won't even talk about the bottom of my feet.

It's amazing that in those places there is (or rather *was*) a small layer of protective fat.

Sitting comfort can be achieved with the SitRelief Shorts from LipoWear.
They did a clinical trial and they work.
www.lipowear.com  They cover much more surface area than Butt for You.
They take awhile to get used to, but it is worth it for the comfort.
