Starting Atripla
« on: May 13, 2008, 01:19:16 PM »
I finally realized just how much weight I've lost so I went to my doctor to see what we could do (yes, my legs, butt and arms are getting skinny and veiny plus I can see it in my face).  My doctor switched me to Atripla from Combivir and Sustiva.  He also sent me for a chest x-ray (which came back normal).  Started taking the Atripla, last night.  My stomach is a bit touchy this morning, but not terrible.  While changing meds is a little terrifying, I'm pretty hopeful.

Hey, Paul.  Sounds like a smart switch.  The stomach issues are probably short-term adjustment issues, which will clear up after a few days.

My stomach iis feeling better today.  I'll probably be gentle on it for a few days just to be sure.  It'll be interesting to see if I can put some of the weight back on.  Even a little would be welcome.
