Risk, Risk, Risk...

I know the stats, I know the "rules", I understand the transmission methods, etc.  I know how to use a condom, dental dam, saran wrap, etc.

Where does one draw the line on "theoretical" risk and pleasure?

My girlfriend (long-term) and I (I am +), have a very healthy, safe sex life.  Recently I felt as though either I or her research might have misinformed her regarding female to female oral sex and the risk of HIV transmission.

We are very open with one another and have communicated the risk factors of vaginal fluid to healthy mouth.  I am under the impression that this practice is mostly safe.  The theoretical risk of HIV infection from oral sex between two woman is, in my somewhat uneducated opinion... slim.

Am I misinformed?

Is this a practice we should discontinue without the use of a barrier?

Matty the Damned notes the talk of a theoretical risk in these situations. Nevertheless he believes that people have real not theoretical sex and that there is no real risk here.

In my opinion you can dispense with the barriers and pleasure your good woman (and she you) freely and without concern of infecting her. :)

Oh, and welcome to the Forums.

Be well,
