Confused About Safe Sex??
« on: January 02, 2008, 02:54:57 PM »
???,  I have been diagnosed for over 23-yrs now.  I just ended a very LTR that lasted 22-23 yrs.  My previous partner was also diagnosed Positive, in fact we were diagnosed together.
Now I'm dating a real nice Guy, Who is Neg. !!
I feel that I have a real good grasp on on this HIV Business, but now I'm feeling very nervous about protecting this new Man in my Life.  We have NO Secrets, he knows that I'm Positive.
My question is, Is there anywhere I can go on the internet to get the Best Advice, and/or Instructions on how to Play It Safe With My New Guy?????
Thanks for the Help, and Input.
Timmer   :)

The main thing you need to know is to use condoms for anal intercourse, no matter which of you is top or bottom. Read through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them with confidence.

You might also want to read the following thread:

And by the way, welcome to the forum. If you click on the Welcome Thread, you'll read about the other areas of this website that you may find helpful. For instance, you could both read the pages about transmission, found in the Lessons section.

Good luck, and happy reading!

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts
