Im being tortured by fear....guilt....
« on: November 26, 2007, 06:54:13 PM »
Good evening everyone..well I am going to cut to the freaking point.. I made a boneheaded mistake out of anger and now guilt is haunting me like never before I went to a strip club with some buddies of mine and to make a long story short I ended up sleeping with one of the strippers(Thank God i wasn't disastrously intoxicated or who knows what else would have happened) had a few drinks but was not drunk and was  aware of what I was doing. We ended up back in her car I bought a latex condom and she gave me oral. I was surprised she insisted on even having oral with the condom on me but anyhow the oral lasted a good 5 min then i was erected enough to have sex with her and we did for a very short period of time till i ejaculated and was just full of panic after i notcied the condom wasnt torn or anything and of course I came in the condom but im soo worried that she gave me a BJ with it on what if she put a little hole in it and I didnt notice. Would It have broken? I read some condom links on HIV condom forums and i pretty much followed everything. also she opened it and im paranoid if she opened it wrong maybe I didnt see a tear in it??. I know 12 weeks is conclusive and Im headed to labcorp tomorrow for my test. I went to my doc today got checked out my blood pressure is a little up for young dude. What haunts me even more is i have 2 children one only 3 months oldthe other 2 yr. He (my 3 month)has a little stuffy nose since friday. At my request i had my doc fill the lab sheet out so i can go get my 71/2 -8 week test. How confident can I be if this is a negative result? This is the ONLY sexual encounter i have had besides me and my wife for 4 yrs monogamous and we both tested before before and after a 6 month window period and were both negative. This 1 stupid incident. I also was recommended by a friend 2 weeks after the incident to go on Advancedtestinghcenter and purchased a NAT test (500.00)and did it at 2 weeks with an antibody that just comes with it. Window period for that test the nurse told me was 12 days as the FDA approved it for bloodcenters to use it as well. some crap about detecting the viral protein which makes it better then  the PCR which looks for the viral load. anyhow Guys please help me out here can i be confident in my 8 week test if it comes back -????. im not use to posting these kind of thungs on a forum so please bare with me...

You didn't have a risk. If the condom had failed you would have known. You don't need to test and if you did have a risk a conclusive test is 3 months which is 12/13 weeks. Not 12 days.

Here is what it says about your NAT.  This assay is not intended for use as an aid in diagnosis of infection with HIV-1, HCV or HBV.
