T-cell 378 19% and my viral load went down to 1620..

My t-cells have been holding stable and my vl is back down.

Should I consider meds since my t-cells are a bit low or should I wait. My doc said to wait and that my immune system is deal with HIV very well.

I have decided to start a treatment as soon as the average of CD4 will go under 500, average made on 3 successive labs counts.

Unfortunately, accordingly to my last counts, the CD4 have drop from 509 to 381 in 7 weeks.
So I will not wait to my next lab test to do the average, but start next week.
Indeed, what if in 7 weeks the drop again ?

You might want to read these articles, as it is a very important question !

I'm currently investigating the best initial treatment to take.

Some articles :
- http://www.aidsmeds.com/list.shtml
- http://www.aidsmeds.com/articles/TreatmentQuestions_5032.shtml
- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti-retrovirals :
 The preferred initial regimens are (http://aidsinfo.nih.gov/ContentFiles/HIVandItsTreatment_cbrochure_en.pdf):
    * efavirenz + zidovudine + lamivudine
    * efavirenz + tenofovir + emtricitabine
    * lopinavir boosted with ritonavir + zidovudine + lamivudine
    * lopinavir boosted with ritonavir + tenofovir + emtricitabine.

If you are interested to discuss which treatment seems the best today, we talk about it.
I will also post the conclusion in a thread here.

Good Luck !
