history...my son christian was diagnosed seven months ago

went to my cousin's wedding yesterday.  his dad (my uncle) and i grew up together...best friends...did everything together.  i am actually six months older than my uncle.

didn't think much about the fact that none of "my" four (grown) sons were  invited...figuring that the invites just didn't go down those generations.  well, that was what i thought until i got there.  the whole fam damily was there...except my boys.

i feel there was some hiv phobia going on and they were "afraid" to be around christian.   so that it didn't appear obvious...whatthefuckever...they just didn't invite any of them.   i am pissed and this hurt my feelings soooooo much.

as soon as the ceremony was over and we were waiting to make a family picture (without my boys)...my uncle lit up a cigarette.  being a smoker too...i ran over to bum a drag off of his.   normally this would not even have been an issue...but...he would not let me have one.   unfuckingbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   guess he thought i might have the "ninja" too.  (don't ask me why, but "ninja" is what christian has named it)

dealing with idiots is what makes this so hard...

Sorry this is happening to you. It really shows how uneducated your family is. I'd consider mailing out educational brochures.
It might cause a stink initially but they started it and getting properly educated on the subject might help them in ways they havent even considered.
Since they are so much in the dark many of them might be at risk.
