AIDS Walk Philadelphia
« on: October 10, 2007, 09:57:33 AM »
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

In just under two weeks, thousands of people from all walks of life will join together to help fight HIV/AIDS in the Delaware Valley - won't you join us? The 21st Annual AIDS Walk Philly 2007 is scheduled for Sunday, October 21st at 9AM. And it's not too late for you to register!

AIDS Walk Philly has raised over 13 million dollars since 1987 to fight HIV/AIDS in the Delaware Valley. But as you know, the fight against HIV/AIDS is far from over. This year the city of Philadelphia has lost 2.4 million dollars in federal funding that will have a direct impact on HIV/AIDS service providers in our region. Now, more than ever, local organizations are depending on private donations to keep their programs up and running. I hope you will show your dedication and commitment to fighting this epidemic by participating in AIDS Walk Philly 2007.

By raising funds for AIDS Walk Philly 2007, you can make a real difference in the lives of the over 30,000 people living with HIV/AIDS in the Philadelphia area.

AIDS Walk Philly is a 12K Walk that begins and ends at Eakins Oval in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. But don't forget, there is also a 10K AIDS Run, a USATF certified route that goes up Martin Luther King Drive. So whether you join us as a walker, a runner, or a volunteer, you can take your first step in AIDS Walk Philly 2007 by registering yourself today!
