I relocated from Illinois to michigan and i have Illinois ADAP for my medication.  i wish to apply for Michigan one but since I am married now and have private health insurance it will mean showing my husband's income.  I will be starting a part time job with Northwest Airlines.  I asked a case worker who told me at the moment all he will need is my husband's income tax for 2006.  My husband makes a lot more money but only reports about $30 - $40,000 a year.  I am on a single dose Atripla.  I know we will have a co-pay.  Any one has an idea how much I will have to pay?

Hi Kitty,

Here are some links to get you going.  I think earnings guidelines are now national, and are referenced to the National Poverty Level, then multiplied.  I think that two people are now rated at about 50,000 for ADAP eligibility, but you must check with the Michigan ADAP whose number is in the second link.

I hope this at least starts you on the right path.  ADAP should be no problem for you with your husband earning less than $40,000.  However, if there is outside income, please keep it silent and there is no need to record it as it probably is sporadic earnings anyway.  Only things reported to the IRS are accountable.

The Bible contains 6 admonishments to homosexuals,
and 362 to heterosexuals.
This doesn't mean that God doesn't love heterosexuals,
It's just that they need more supervision.
