I would have advised them to take a cut lunch and a bottle of water each. I doubt they'd make enough to feed themselves.

I think they used to work the rest stop on I-65 just south of Louisville, where I would stop for the occassional rest and soft drink. Yeah that sounds about right.

maybe they were hookin outside a prison where a bunch of those who weren't privleged enough to receive conjugal visits were leaving after 20+ year stints and had some lisence plate money to burn?

I had a guy offer me $500 to let him blow me once... I turned him down on the premise that "Hustler" was not on my resume, and I'd like to keep it that way. Come to think of it, I should have taken him up on it.

Damn, I miss my White Castle. I lived two blocks away from one for a decade in Brooklyn. For some reason those little cheeseburgers could always cheer me up, along with the requisite crinkle-cuts. I like a place where I have to place my order through a hole in 1-inch thick bullet resistant plexiglass. Plus you get to stand at that large window and watch the ladies cook the meat and little onion cubes and then stuff them all in those odd tiny sammich boxes. The entire White Castle experience is just amazing -- and they all attract the most motley assortment of customers, especially if you go to one at 5am drunk as shit after a night of clubbing, preferably with a hot Puerto Rican you just picked up on Steinway Street in Queens.

I went to High School in Westchester county. White castle was the best after a longnight of partying in the City. The first time I went, I don't think that there was a sober person in the entire place, which helps when the 'shrooms are raging around in your head. The bullet proof glass was sort of intimidating though. We used to call the burgers either Rectal Rockets, or a Slow Death with Cheese. Thanks for the memories!!!

And to think that I've just been giving it away all these years! I'd have taken him up on it; $500 is what our two tickets to S.F. cost. A trip for two and I get a blow job.... hmm. You gotta keep things in perspective.

I grew up in Cincinnati and, of course, went to White Castle a million times at 5 am after an all-niter. You're right, Philly, the whole experience is something, the waiting while they cook them, the different types of people who would all be in there in various degrees of drunk/high-ness.

Ours used to have little jukeboxes at each table, and they had these onion strips, not really rings. They were so greasy and I usually only ate one or two of them but they had a very distinctive flavor that I haven't tasted since I moved away 20 years ago...
