hey:  anyone take zinc supplements.  I am currently on truvada and kaletra, also take a multi-vitamin and fish oil and heart meds.  I was curious about taking 50mg of zinc a day.  I have read good and not so good things about this so just wondering what you think.   Thanks

I take Magnesium, Calcium, Zinc & Copper supplement called Osteocare, I order it in from England as I can't get it here in Holland and certainly not for a better price.
I originally started taking it as I have a tremor, but have found it to be a good cure for diarrhea, sometimes I don't order in time and then just take Magnesium and vitamin C with zinc and then it's back to the toilet 10 times a day and when I start on the Osteocare again it stops I even get light constipation .... which can be nice after having diarrhea for the last 6 or 7 years :P.

Anyway I have included a link to where you can order the Osteocare just in case you want to get some to try.

I've been taking zinc and vitamin E. It was a suggestion from someone in the AOL chat room to help with the sex life.  I haven't found Zinc to do anything. Im just finishing the bottle and be done with it.

For info on supplements for HIV'ers, I go to Dr. Mary Romeyn's article at thebody.com titled "Vitamins, Mineral, and Trace Elements"...check out info on thebody.com...I use her suggestions when planning my supplements, which I admit I take irregularly.  Never was sold on the idea of vitamins even when negative, but hear often that HIV'ers should take them.
